Construction hoists

Rack and pinion hoists for passengers and material — enclosed cars or open platforms, single or twin cage, with lifting heights up to 200 m.

The machine

A hoist that behaves the same on day one and day one thousand

Every JKTECH hoist is built around a hot-dip galvanised mast and a hardened rack. The drive unit carries an electric motor, a worm gearbox, a centrifugal brake and the pinion that engages the rack, and it is bolted to the car in a way that lets a fitter lift it out with a site crane in under an hour.

Speed is controlled by a variable frequency drive, so the car accelerates and decelerates smoothly instead of jerking to a stop. That matters for two reasons: passengers notice it, and reduced shock loading on the rack means longer service life and less maintenance.

  • Frequency converter control, 0 – 60 m/min stepless
  • Progressive safety gear acting on the mast tube
  • Automatic overload detection with audible and visual alarm
  • Final limit switches, slack rope and door interlocks
  • Levelling accuracy better than ±10 mm at floor level
Range

Choose the arrangement that suits the building

Single cage

One car on one mast. The most economical arrangement and the one most rental fleets standardise on. Available as a material platform or an enclosed passenger car.

Twin cage

Two independent cars running on a shared mast with separate controls. Doubles throughput without doubling the mast or the tie-in work — ideal for busy high-rise cores.

Open platform

A flat, high-capacity deck for long and bulky loads such as pipe, duct, drywall and precast elements. Folding side rails available for tight sites.

Erection & operation

Designed around site reality

Self-erecting mast

Mast extends with the building using the hoist's own drive; no separate climbing crane required.

Flexible tie-in

Wall ties and anchor frames suit slabs, columns and steelwork, at intervals matched to your mast layout.

Simple controls

Car and landing call stations with clear fault codes, so a site electrician can diagnose without our engineer.

Container-friendly

Masts nest inside 40 ft high cube containers; cars ship knock-down where freight cost matters.

Questions

Hoist FAQ

Can the hoist carry passengers and material at the same time?
Yes, when specified as a personnel and material hoist. The car is fully enclosed with interlocked doors, and the load chart states both the material payload and the maximum number of persons. Material platforms are intended for goods only and are supplied with the appropriate signage.
How high can a single mast run?
Our standard range is engineered for lifting heights up to 200 m, with tie-in intervals specified per project. Above 100 m we prepare a dedicated mast layout calculation with your structural engineer.
What maintenance does the hoist need?
A daily visual check by the operator, plus a scheduled service covering rack and pinion lubrication, brake inspection, safety gear function test, bolt torque and electrical inspection. We provide a maintenance schedule and log sheets with every machine.
Do you supply the landing doors and call systems?
Yes. Interlocked landing doors, landing call stations and the cable trolley system are part of the standard package, so the whole installation is delivered with one set of drawings and one parts list.
